Thread regarding Fiserv Inc. layoffs

Is the 8 hours a day tracking team dependent or company wide?

People are saying that they are being told they need to be in the office for 8 hours a day otherwise they have to use R&R days. I typically leave around 3 and haven’t been told anything so do I have anything to worry about?

Hey, it's one of the most admired companies X years in a row.. Make you wonder how pathetic companies are today.

Remember goal is to make your life as miserable as possible. That includes not telling you what is and what is not punishable by termination. You are supposed to suffer until you give up and leave on your own.

If my office does not have a swipe OUT... YET. How long do I have if I leave half days and work from home the remainder. Like I did for a year. Do you get written up first or do they just can you?

I will do the bare minimum. Portal to portal my time starts counting the minute I swipe in, not when I sit down and my pc loads all of the spyware. I will take my lunch away from my desk for my full lunch hour. I will shutdown my pc in time for me to badge out on time. Not one extra minute. Can’t do it today? Well tomorrow is another day unless I get a RIF

It’s at the individual level, not the team level. So let’s see in an 8 hour day, badge in, take a dump, read the newspaper, collaborate with friends in the break room, work for an hour, go to lunch, take another dump, BS some more, work an hour, badge out

I wish they would. I don't get reimbursed for my cell calls, texts over the work Day/weekend. Plus for HR, I think it would be a nightmare tracking time. Last comment, I thought the badge swipe was for our benefit because if the building is on fire, they'll know I haven't left

The hilarious part of all of this is that the harder they crackdown, the harder people will try to fight the rules and do less. That's human nature. Give people autonomy and empower them and they'll work much harder. Treat them like three year olds and watch them smear po-p on the wall.

Also, hilariously, is that the people that will leave over this kind of stuff are the highly productive ones. They'll feel insulted and demeaned. So all you'll be left with are the po-p smearers.

I gotta pop some more popcorn to snack on while I watch this train derailment.

Think Management needs to be reminded of their work life preaching.

Why only a few days/weeks ago, the shills are admonishing everyone that the rule was "majority" and there should be no confusion as it was so clearly communicated. And was the generous hybrid policy from on high. Then it was 4 days and within a week, added full 8 hour requirement... Yes, most successful companies have associate policies written on a white board and timestamped to the minute/second. People deserve better than this nonsense. Associate expectations from senior management have been so worn down it's depressing...leave us alone to do the work, the micromanagement is insulting and a tad psychotic. Badge reporting should not be the KPI captivating the most time, angst and stress. The overall business continues to suffer as the main focus is batting associates around. This is NOT how other companies work.

You guys are kidding right? There is NO flexibility? And if you work from home on Fridays.... you are STILL on a list? Sapience does a good job at recording keystrokes and surveillance. What is their malfunction? We are not children.

Need to leave at 3, no problem, come in at 6 (or earlier)...its elementary. If we can't SEE you working, there's a distinct possibility you are NOT working...might be posting nonsense on websites...

Got chewed out by my manager about this today... he didn't say 8 hours explicitly but I am apparently on the sh!t list for leaving around 3 pretty regularly and they are starting to track hours.

I leave to get my son from school this was approved way before the RTO policy came in effect. Im sure they are making exceptions but my team honestly cant afford to lose anymore people.

I don't end up seeing a lot of people after 2:30-3 ish. I'd haven't been given a go ahead to split my day up like that without warning. I do want to know who is reporting who's not in what days and for how long.

We’ll see what happens, I’m in office for about 6 hours and remote for a couple hours before and after so I can deal with getting my kids to and from school. I guess if that’s not good enough and they fire me then it’s their loss. So much for being flexible and understanding to families.
