Thread regarding Juniper Networks Inc. layoffs

Waiting for severance

That's the only reason I'm still here. I'm over this place, but I'm hanging on, hoping for a severance package. With all the layoffs happening, I don't want to jump ship and then regret it if I could've been laid off and gotten something out of it. I've already made up my mind to leave, but for now, I’m just waiting to see if there’s a better way out.

while not an unconditional fan of the entire team, come on, growing Mist to a $1B business in the enterprise is a success story.
clearly the startup mentality is a bit overwhelmed with a $14B merger undergoing regularity oversight at this stage. The leaks are clearly not helping.

Uncertainty is inevitable with mergers this size.
That said I agree the executive team has not been handling communications with the strict discipline a deal under regulatory review required, which may well be the reason now it's not happening Mid November either.
I heard (but can not confirm) Juniper was going to be present in HPE Discovery but that it was all pulled back in the last 24 hours. I don't know the exact reason but clearly the fin regulatory approvals are now delayed a bit. Speculating it may be due to the claims about unmatched AI synergies together, which may have raised monopoly alarm. bells with regulators that know zero about the technology. But that's just a guess.

Y’all should just leave. Unless you’re in a role you know is going to get whacked next month you should just resign now. If change stresses you out you should get out of tech altogether. Tech is nothing but change.

It’s going to be at least a year (and probably longer) before full integration is complete. Seriously.

So glad to know I’m not the only one in this boat. Im sick of all the constant changing, and constant incompetency. Nothing is organized and it brings more stress than it’s worth. Already have my next thing lined up (outside of corporate America) and just waiting for my severance. God speed and may we have it soon 🤞
