Thread regarding Juniper Networks Inc. layoffs

What is the goal?

I want to know what is the goal that Juniper Execs/BoD set for the Firm and themselves? The typical goals include as follows.

1) Take the company valuation to $20B
2) Be a market leader in routing/switching/security, one of them
3) Make money for the firm

But, nothing is happening for the company for years. Now, what is the goal, and how the results are evaluated for goals for the org level. A question to ask your leadership.

It is sad what engineering has has become under AA. He has incompetent VPs who are not willing to question his poor judgement on important projects. Laying off key security people is just one recent bad decision he made. The CTO organization is not much better.

Well, I think Juniper must stop following.

1) No RSUs for Sr Management only options
2) No dividends
3) no bonus for any employee.

They can save $500M per year and in 4 years, they can buy back half of their outstanding shares and return to the shareholders in terms of stock appreciation. They can resume bonuses and dividends after that. They better sell SRX and Contrail which is not making any money for Juniper.

LOL. They tried to get to 10B in last 11 years and couldn’t even move the needle. Remember 10billion or bust? KJ had the capability to do it but then they had to get rid of him.
