Thread regarding Teradata Corp. layoffs

There was a time when our office....

Was fun to go into. Our culture was great, our customers loved us, we were working the deals, making our number and even engaging with new prospects. Then something happened.

We signed a new logo and as soon as we did, the powers that be riffed the CSM who basically made it happen. So all of a sudden the new logo had zero support on the ground.

The powers to be decided to massively increase the targets, whilst reducing the headcount. We lost one of the best this company had.

All of a sudden, the office wasn't so great to go to anymore. Management from outside of the office started to tell us that we needed to sell more and even started to tell us how to sell.

Today we lose another AE who has decided to leave because of the zero support he has been given, the bullying culture that has been created and no-way of making his number.

I'm guessing this is being repeated around the world in many of the offices.

No smart new person would start at Teradata today. No smart person would stay at Teradata. If you work there ask yourself why? Unless you are 1-2 years from retirement get out as soon as you can. The greedy ELT will milk what’s left the next two years then TDC will be dead. #TheDyingCompanyTDC

It's a sorry tale being repeated across the globe. You see someone get called into a meeting room and 15 mins later they are packing up their desk to leave.

RP has zero leadership skills so the GTM teams know that he doesn't have their back.

The CSM function is dead. It's funny how they are meant to assist the customer yet when working with the customer they have to engage with snowflake to help the customer migrate off TD.

Q2 results are going to be a horror show. Revenue is drying up and any renewals are being massively discounted to try and save a customer

What about the CRO - not winning net new logos.... really driving the sales force to perform...how can they when the whole org has zero ideas about winning new customers. Thats not any AEs fault either.

Teradata will shortly be a memory. Just like Share Base, Britton Lee, NCR and AOL. I am sure here are others long gone that no one remembers or cares about.

What new person would go to work for Teradata? What new customer would buy Teradata?

Yes happening here as well.

Great people laid off and all of a sudden the place is like a morgue. Culture has plummeted and we are even struggling to find good people to hire because the word is out that it's not good to work here anymore, so the quality of candidates we used to get has dropped.

I think that's part of the ELT plan which is to make the workplace so dire to be at that people leave on their own accord whilst open headcount just dont get filled and eventually the role is cancelled due to lack of finding good candidates.
