Some Target brand products are being sold on Sears.com. The products link to the target.com website and if you buy them you get 1% back in points.
I thought target & KMart were competitors? These are laundry detergents which both target & KMart carry.
Yes, tons of pressure put on cashiers and MCAs to sign up people for SYWR. Either sign up or get fired. People signed up fake SYWR all the time. I keep mine under a old phone #and yahoo email so I have no worries when they sell it off. Just keep sending me money to spend instore. Love the free stuff.
1nqn- You're right it has been around for a long time, but no one knows about it, so what does that tell you about the program?
I remember when SYWR was starting out, I'd go on a register and do email and phone number look-ups out of curiosity. There were full pages of names under such addresses as kmart@kmart.com, sears@sears.com, fake@fake.com, a@a.com, and so on. Then there were the 111-111-1111, 111-111-1112, 111-111-1113 and so on phone numbers. I suppose at least there were some clever people who used xxx-867-5309. I remember there being a Jenny and Tommy Tutone listed under that number.
How could you work for the company and not know about this? This has been available for a long time.
I have to admit that during slow times (which were often), me and my co - workers in appliances would create numerous fictitious syw accounts. But it was done storewide as well.
SYW is dead. The ten million people who SHC claims to have in SYw is a fraud. When I worked for Sears we used to sign-up friends, family, false people to SyW accounts just to meet metrics. I have at least 10 accounts under different e-mail accounts so I could meet metrics when I worked there.
Exactly. Just like upromise gives points for shopping at certain websites(including Sears.com) to either save for college or pay back student loans
Nothing different going on her. Macys has Plenti with Amex and you can use and earn across multiple stores and gas stations

One more comment. Even in '08 Amazon posted a profit of a buck a share......eddie keeps loosing money no matter what. I suspect if he cleaned up the business, whatever that means, he wouldn't face so much criticism...from venders, the media, everyone.
The problem is I think Eddie sees Sears right now as a dotcom start up similar to Amazon was in 2008 with ($20B in Revenue) the problem is hes loosing revenues at what 10% per year instead of what Bezos was doing in 08' by basically increasing revenues by 50% per year.....
So theres a psychological effect that people have on the decreasing revenues all other things remaining equal(they are not). And they should......bleeding is a lot different than getting stronger.
But then he turns around and complains tht the press doenst treat him fairly but refuses do the one thing that Bezoos did in '08...show massive growth. Eddie has the operating expeses down real good.....but shows no growth in anything...the department store biz, the service biz nor syw......so his complaints arnt really justified.

Yes. There are many websites and local bars/restaurants where you can earn points. The catch is you can only spend them at a SHC store
You can't spin off an asset that loses hundreds of millions of dollars a quarter. There is a reason the financials on shop your way are not released - because they are terrible and then corporate has nothing to point to.
And what are these Sweeps things?
SYW was never intended to help SHC. It's just another asset Eddie plans on spinning off to line his pockets.
