I work on the shop floor, in Everett. We are anticipating 180% increase in head count as Renton moves up. That's my shop. One other shop I know acquired 200% labor increase. Not gossip. Just fact.

My God That Man is Dimwitted
Calhoun is So Dimwitted he doesn’t realize people are laughing at him
Not with him
Calhoun is as bright as a December day in Alaska,
with an IQ matching the temperature of High Noon that same day.
Calhoun is as useful as a pitchfork without its handle.
If Calhoun were a weapon he would be a rock.
If Calhoun were a Knife he would spell it Nifa
We are So Phonged
Perverse Capitalism in the board rooms of America, unsupervised via deregulation
By a Perverse Congress that was bribed by unscrupulous lobbyist, causing the
death of 346 innocent people and trashing the reputation of a company that was once regarded as the worlds Gold Standard in aviation safety and quality.
Boeing died when senior management trained in economics with a focus on profit not aviation and humanity murdered 346 people. “Greed digs the deepest Grave”
Greed and Asininity have destroyed a reputation that took 40 years to build.
The greatest threat to Boeing is its management not it’s employees.
Yet they are absurdly rewarded, paid 400 times the average Boeing employee.

Sure, if someone’s already commuting from down south, to work in Renton, to suddenly have to drive all the way up to Everett can be a game changer. I don’t think the Co. does this purposely to punish or get rid of people, they simply have no concern where someone lives & it’s just business to them. Believe it or not, being E-classed is the staffing department trying to save your job, although I can understand how it might not feel that way. It’s a process, & they work their way down the numbers.
Seems like this relocation is also a way for them to have people either retire or quit that are unable or unwilling to relocate to Everett. Expect a second wave of relocations or layoffs to follow.
No pressure, don’t worry, no skin off their nose
Management short comings management failures management incompetence
It’s skin off your nose.
Now they find out who the misanthropes are - management, L4, L3 and then they
Send those to Saint Lou, say see ya. Clean up, clean out the Renton ranks
Shake out time.
Boeing doesn't pressure anyone; they give you a move memo, simple as that.Whether you like it or not is your business, they're not firing you....they're giving you a job offer, where they have work for you. Some take the offer, some don't, it's no skin off their nose.
I don’t think you’ll be sent to St. Louis. Folks in Renton are temporarily being relocated to other areas in the Puget Sounds (mainly Everett). I also heard Moses Lake and Victorville, CA is on the relocate list.
What sites are Renton Engineers being sent to? Can Boeing management pressure people to accept a transfer to Saint Louis?
Personally, I would quit my Boeing job an look for another locally to stay in Seattle before ever moving to Saint Louis. Thanks but no Thanks!
This is how it always starts, 1st they E-class people, they move in & slowly start taking jobs. Then the WARNs start getting handed out.
It s—s but it's starting to look real now.....
And there you go....Train them up good, so the higher seniority folks get to stay and you get your 60 day notice. Apparently Boeing still knows how to play us union folks. What a bunch of buffoons...
Do really think Boeing is going to continue to pay union floks mileage and free good to go passes for months? Are you an ididit? 200 percent head count increase = layoffs. Not mention you don't have certs or training on how to build other aircraft.
Oh I know, tack times will be at an all time low with all the extra head count. Think about it!
Good thing I got my 1st line manager shacked up with me. Either she can keep my job safe or she pays my bills. Win win for me.
I work shop floor in Everett too & we were told yesterday a whole bunch of new people will be coming in this Monday.
