I’ve been here a long time and for that reason it’s a little hard for me to leave. I’m kind of used to JPMC, as weird as it sounds, and it’s hard for me to start over. However, loyalty doesn't pay off so I am increasingly thinking about leaving. I'm curious how much higher pay were you able to get somewhere else? Some say they are now paid significantly more.

Be careful however, many managers today only hire experienced to train H1-B. workers.
When everyone is on some sort of Visa except you, we are in the way when those good folks need to renew Visa
I left Chase after 25+ years back in February, and the battle back in forth in my mind was not fun while trying to reach that decision to resign. It took me almost three months, however I got hired with another financial institution into a leadership role (not what I originally applied for) due to all my experience. I started at $30k more annually than what I was making, and with a better opportunity that I was never given with Chase....after 25+ years. It was hard to leave, but now I know there is 'life after Chase'.
I will never work below my capacity to skate by. It has served me well throughout my career. If you listen to that type of advice you will always be mediocre and one of the first to be laid off. Luckily, I've made it through 7 lay offs and know oftentimes it may be luck, but I have to say my doing my best has never hurt me in a job. Nor has being the person my co workers go to for questions. I consider it an honor to help them soar as well. Good luck, everyone.
As far back as I can remember, I always wanted to be a bankster.
If you’re still in the firm, make sure you don’t be the best on what you do. Otherwise everyone will come to ask you to do something for them so you’re indirectly asking for extra work, just because “you’re the best on this”, while other slackers that do the same thing as you got less work. Don’t teach others everything when you’re in training, just be vague about it. you never know if they are to replace you when they lay you off.
If ur already in the firm, chase will keep you low. They only care of shareholders and not you. I left to a competitor for a 27% increase for the exact same job.
I was stuck in an LOB in a dead end role with few pay increases for 12 years at Chase as I also considered myself loyal and didn't like changing jobs. I finally got out and made 30% more and then quickly advanced in a year at my new company and now make twice as much as I did at Chase.
Salaries are soaring, just not for people at Chase that don't move around. Even if the pay was equal, the culture within chase is not worth staying in. Do you love your job? If not, move.
Same place, good manager. Pay increased 30% and bonus 100k+. I was rated high however. Technology background. My 2 cents: move around. #hustle
