Thread regarding Boeing Co. layoffs

Who else is worried 😟 about the upcoming IAM / Boeing contract. I got a feeling it’s not going to end well.

Boeing planning to move all future commercial work to Charleston or to design centers outside the US. So they want to go to war again with the union to justify moving the work there.

They’re trying to blame the union for moving the work outside of Washington state, but everyone knows the real reason.

I am not worried. And I don't feel guilt about the loss of life either. I left Boeing years before the 737Max accidents and I warned the leadership this would happen given their leadership policy of profit above competent engineering and manufacturing. So did many other people...all to no avail.

Man, you would have to be both brainless and spineless to still be at Boeing.

Thinking Boeing might force a strike and then shutter and breakup. The timing would be about perfect for last severance packages.

You can win the battle, however you'll lose the war. Boeing will offload more jobs because they are a losing at everything they do. Time to move on, after this contract.

It shouldn't end well. If anything, you should all get your pay docked for contributing to people's deaths. Typical unionist mindset... you want more, even if others died through your negligence. Disgusting.

Have a little back bone for goodness sake.
Look back at all the sacrifices past union members (going on strike) have made.
You already bent over during the last contract and accepted ridiculous takeaways.
Be strong and don't let the company walk over you.
As for Scabs, well... if you don't know what to do with them just ask an old timer if there's any left in your area.

Let me explain something about negotiations when it comes to Union contracts for some of you that are still green to it. First thing’s first, the company will come to the table and say they have lost so & so money the previous years. They can’t meet the union demands. Most of the times it’s just lies to get leverage. But in Boeing’s case, it’s fact. lol. There probably won’t be wiggle room for the Union to counter or run around. Its basically going to be one deal on the table Boeing offers. The company had nothing else to offer. Take or leave it. They are in the negative profit wise. Be prepare to strike. And be prepared many will cross the line, because its too expensive to strike in today’s inflation. Either starve or take the sh!tty deal...

Don't worry about the contract. The young ones vote anything in the company wants. The newer generations lack financial intelligence.

Not to worry, they gave all the newbs a $10k signing bonus & went away with the pension on the last contract. This time around they’ll entice this d-mber new generation of new hires with $20k signing bonus... Boeing is getting what they want trust the process lol

Best move elsewhere soon before all of you have to find new jobs at the same time.

At this point there is not much to worry over, a vast majority of
people who matter to the success of the company have already
left.
Most, driven out by the nonsense that is DEI and that
groups intolerance towards micro-aggressions.
This new feelings science
(you know feelings, the space between your ears, Not Reality)
This new science is based on looking funny at someone
“In Their Mind” and causing them to feel bad.

After successfully destroying the company’s reputation and
the product line, the only thing left Was, the work force.
Boeing has pulled off a hat trick of epic proportions.

Causing a new union to be formed, called Sweepers 304
for all those left clinching on.

In the near future the only thing Boeing will be producing is
Tourist Trinkets, in memory of their glory days.

Got in roughly about 1987. Was recruited. Initially you could call it a dream (no pun intended) job. But let's say when I found out what was lurking beneath I got out the very first and only chance or open. I took it and never looked back. Analogy... Nobody leaves a church, it was a cult you could say. Today I never talk much about it. Not less of a person than when I first got in. But only their truth will set you free...
