Just an average Joe at Shell that stumbled across the Confidential Leader Guide for Offers and Regrets. It's great to find this so called guide prior to my meeting with my manager.

Did anyone who got regrets cared much for "care" expressed by your manager?
To me, that was the fakest part of it all, oil is at $70, and a bunch of people are being laid off. And, allegedly, the company "cares"!
Regrets come via existing line managers, those who were successful will get a call from the hiring manager.
Congrats to those of you that got offers.....I just got "the call", Because it was my line manager, I knew the answer. No offers.
This is just the kick in the rear end I needed to go find something better and more stable.
I was told no position as well as a JG5 engineer. It’s ridiculous how many senior the company is keeping while reducing the entry level staffs.

well i got told no position, pretty devastated as a geologist. congrats to all you who have landed, i am not sure what to do now, career change but i am not even sure what to, sorry for the vent.
I got the call. Hiring manager pinged and asked if I had 5 mins for a call.
Has anyone gotten the call yet? How was it setup? Did the new/old manager set up an meeting with you or did they just call/message you?
