Thread regarding Boeing Co. layoffs

Remove MCAST

Why doesn't Boeing remove the MCAST from the planes...refund buyers the difference and get them out?

Take the bolts out of Frankenstein’s Neck.
Remove the ability of flight control inputs from MCAS.
Use MCAS to give the pilots Audio Alerts Only, let the pilots do their job.
This will avoid Another (MCAS) Event.

How sad it is for those who will not read
How sad it is for those who will not think
No facts do they seek No reason for their claim
Those who do not reason; do not think yet they claim to know of what they speak.
How sad it is for those who pose a question yet will not read and will not think.
To give answers to those who will not read and will not think is to fish in a desert.

Who would start a Thread; with a question, so open and without any reason.
What Could Possibly Be The Point; with all of the answers that have come before.

{Um just because}
Oh I see we have a pilot and an aerodynamicist with us here today.
Thank goodness, maybe you would be so kind as to explain what Part Matters
What Part are you referring to?
Surely you’re not just talking about the Part that goes up.
What Part Concern’s you? Is it Part 21 Part 25 Part 23 Parts 91, 121, 125, 135.
Could it be Part 25.629 or is it the AC25.1419-1A.9 that concerns you
Oh please, do tell @btq

And So It Is @sqy

The problem is not MCAS, it's the way it was implemented. One AOC sensor? Repeated attempts to push nose down. I'm fine with properly designed safety assist. Love my anti lock brakes. Love my eye sight auto braking feature.

MCAS should very rarely if ever engage.

But root cause is the big engines moved forward and up. Too much airbus pressure and corner cutting once airbus panic was achieved.

I think ultimate blame needs to go to leaders. CEO of Boeing and head of the FAA. FAA is supposed to override the greedy decisions. Both should be fired.

Um just because the plane is solidly built, does not change the fact the engine is too big for the outdated frame and needs a TRICK software to stay stable. Factory workers can not compensate for a bad engineering design. Management could have given engineers the time and funds to completely redesign a plane frame appropriate for the bigger engine but they instead chose to shoot themselves in the foot. They screwed us all because By the time Boeing becomes competitive again, we will have China and Russia as new competition in developing markets.

I'm only flying Airbus. I will not get on an airplane designed by business and accounting majors.

Boeing needs to go back to the drawing board and spend the necessary effort and money on hardware design changes. The fact the max needs a trick software program to stay stable is embarrassing.
