Just relaying some of the latest talk on the floor based on Stan's freudian slip on the All-Employee audiocast yesterday afternoon so bear in mind it's just a rumor at this point...
Rumor has it that they intend on temporarily shut down production for the last couple weeks of the year to cut down on the cash burn.
They’ve always shut down from Christmas Eve to New Year’s Day, however they’ve never shut down from Thanksgiving to New Year’s that I remember. They are not going to continue building airplanes with white tails without customers. You can guarantee the fact that they stop production at some point
They’ve always closed the plant from Christmas Eve to January 1. When did that become Thanksgiving to Christmas? Does anyone with a brain really believe they close the plant every year for six weeks and give everyone six weeks of vacation at the end of the year?

The expectation is that with so many deferred orders that they will need to lay off a large number of employees due to the very few airplane they will need to build

The SPEEA contract states that there can be no furloughs meaning that they would still get paid.
Not much of a cost savings there.
