I was a planner at TD and it was March of 2014 that I said "if they start cutting into headcount, we aren't coming back from it." By August of 2015, they had laid off over 100 people in CS and the salesforce. I constantly got inquiries from upper management about headcount and how much we'd save if we cut X number of people. People--- you are nothing but numbers to them. THAT IS IT. Do not try to be loyal to this company- they will get rid of you in a heartbeat to save money. That is how dire the situation is. Find better employment as soon as you can.

@FqPY0Hl-1dmw: Take this as a learning. Never, ever, ever, ever, ever feel bad for your employer. You have fallen into the trap. You serve ONE purpose to your employer, and that's to make the people at the top more money than you. Never forget that.
#MidwestValues - what a joke, nobody believes them
Yes, I totally believe you are 100% right: I was just cut off at the knees as well.
They DIDN'T EVEN look at the new work coming in...and the profitable accounts that I currently serve and retain. Oh well, after sharing the news with my clients, they too are considering new options beyond Teradata. So much for your Midwest Values and Loyalty for servicing clients' needs Teradata. You're just another Evil Corp Empire like all the rest. (Karma will come back and haunt you in the end...it's just a matter of time!)
