May be as large as 20-30%. I was informed this morning that I am affected.

Yes, I agree with you... but this is the typical problem at IBM where may be GOOD employees can't challenge or criticize the leadership... could it be because they have NO BALLS!!
Michelle Peluso is nothing more than 99% of women executives who come up the ladder, based solely to fill a quota. Ginny the first female CEO put the nail in the coffin and god forbid u point out her incompetence or for that matter Michelle Peluso's - u are deemed a women hater!
Cut the bs- women are equally useless and not some God sent gift to mankind. If u want to run a Fortune 500 company - GO START ONE!
Why is michelle Peluso still here. Ginni left Arvind should bring in Bain marketing consulting
To the posted asking what Marketing does.. Mr Big Balls (cause I'm sure you're male) - how about you ask publicly someone like Michelle Peluso what marketing does, instead of attacking people who've just lost their jobs?? No? Too hard?
And good luck to everyone who's affected!
I got hit. In marketing as well. Relieved. Same package of 30/90, medical for 12 months at 2021 benefit rates then COBRA for another 6. Last day is December 17. Hearing it is not that big of a cul this time.
Package details? In the US?
Sorry it’s impacted you personally as I wouldn’t wish layoffs on anyone, but it’s high time IBM get a proper marketing firm to take over. Nothing done by the current team has helped improve our perception in the market. Shame that like many departments in IBM, they over hired and now the individual contributors pay the price.
Sorry to hear this. Marketing is one department out of many that will be affected by these lay-offs but how it’s implemented depends on the country. Does your country have decent laws on redundancy procedures? Sometimes departments give teams the chance to come forward voluntarily for a package?
Explain to me what you guys do in Marketing?
Obviously, the work Marketing has been doing is surely not paying off... may be less Marketing is not a bad idea, not to mention it will cut costs!
Sad to hear. Hang in there Sir. There are bigger & better things in store for you.
