You do know that you can all leave anytime you want? Walkouts, sick calls don't mean a hill of beans unless you are union and protected. What done is done so accept it or leave. You are not entitled to anything in life. Pull up pants and man the f*&K up. I hope they lock the doors behind you in the walkout and just remember one thing. There are hundreds out there who would gladly take your place. You aren't as special as you think you are.

Employment at Will
Yes, my earned vacation is a benefit of my hard work, not an entitlement. Then unilaterally what I had worked many years to earn was taken away because they are bigger than me. Then people suggest if I don't like what I earned being confiscated that I am the one with the problem.
53227: Hey, moron, your post makes no sense. Yes, vacation time is a benefit, and a benefits package is part of the contract when we accept a job with you instead of one of your competitors. You don't just change the agreement whenever you like. And some of us are leaving, but will be sure to give detailed evidence to the feds when we do. God, I hope you're DS. Vacation time is a BENEFIT not an entitlement. The same goes for sick leave. Other than in a few states, employers are NOT required to give you vacation time or sick leave. Now I see where all these students get the entitlement attitude from. As the saying goes, if you don't like it, leave.

Actually, 52987, they did steal it, at least from ECO online instructors. Online instructors cannot use vacation time except for during "break" weeks, and only in two day increments. And, since I can't get it cashed out when I leave, it is essentially being stolen from me. It has nothing to do with banking vacation. I'd love to take a two week vacation, but Fuhrer Massimino says nein.

They didn't steal it, they are forcing you to use it. Moral of the story, stop banking your vacation time. Use it or lose it like sick time or the floating holiday. I always end the year with a zero balance on the books
